Screwdriver Recipe
Vodka • Fresh Orange Juice. Crisp premium vodka poured over freshly squeezed orange juice. Serves 1, in a highball glass.
Ingredients
- 45 ml vodka
- 120 ml fresh orange juice
- ice
Method
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Add the vodka.
- Top with fresh orange juice and stir once.
Serving tip
Garnish with an orange slice. Freshly squeezed juice makes all the difference.
Prep ahead and variations
Measure the spirit with a jigger, chill the glasses and cut garnishes shortly before service. Juices, purees and syrups can be measured and chilled a few hours ahead, which keeps service quick. Fresh garnishes should look bright, and clean, plentiful ice is the quiet hero of every glass. Taste before serving and adjust sweetness or acidity to suit the day, because fruit varies by season. Variation: Try blood orange or mandarin juice for a bolder colour.
