How Much Does a Mobile Bar Cost in Kerala?
The cost of a mobile bar depends mainly on three things: how many guests you are hosting, how long the bar runs, and the style of service you want. That could be a mocktail-only bar, a bar with cocktails and mocktails, or a premium setup with live flair bartending. Here is how CASK & Co. prices each option, so you can plan your budget before you enquire.
Package rates
- Essential Sip (all-mocktail bar): ₹25,000 for 25 guests and 4 hours, plus ₹10,000 for every extra 25 guests.
- Grand (cocktails and mocktails): ₹40,000 for 25 guests and 4 hours, plus ₹15,000 for every extra 25 guests.
- Elite (7 signature serves, live flair bartending, crystal glassware): ₹60,000 for 25 guests and 4 hours, plus ₹20,000 for every extra 25 guests.
- Bespoke: a custom quote for events that need a tailored drink list, guest count or bar staff.
Extra hours
Standard service is 4 hours. Each additional hour is ₹3,000, so a 6-hour reception costs ₹6,000 more than the base rate.
A worked example
Say you are hosting 100 guests for 5 hours on the Grand package. That is ₹40,000 for the base, plus 3 extra blocks of 25 guests at ₹15,000 each (₹45,000), plus one extra hour (₹3,000), which comes to a provisional ₹88,000. Our price calculator on the Services page does this sum for you.
What the price covers
The rates cover the bartending team, a portable bar counter, glassware, ice, mixers, syrups, garnishes and equipment. Alcohol is not included, because CASK & Co. is a dry-hire service and the host arranges it separately. Any licences or permissions your event needs are also the host's responsibility.
Planning tips
- Decide your guest count first, because it moves the price in steps of 25.
- Right-size the hours. A bar that runs through the key part of the event is often better value than one that runs all day.
- Prices can shift with season and technical requirements, so enquire early and confirm your final quote after a consultation.
What Is Flair Bartending? A Guide for Wedding and Event Hosts
If you have seen a bartender toss a bottle behind their back and catch it without spilling a drop, you have seen flair bartending. It is one of the easiest ways to make a bar the centre of attention at a wedding or event. Here is what it involves and how to plan for it.
What flair bartending is
Flair bartending combines drink-making with showmanship. The bartender tosses, spins and flips bottles and shakers, often in time with the music, while still preparing the cocktails and mocktails guests have asked for.
Where it works best
- Weddings and receptions: as a feature moment during the cocktail hour or a grand opening of the bar.
- Corporate events: product launches, galas and celebrations that need a talking point.
- Private parties: milestone birthdays, anniversaries and large gatherings.
What to plan for
- Space: leave clear room behind and around the bar so the bartender can move safely.
- Lighting and music: good lighting and a clear sound system make a performance much more impactful.
- Safety: ask your bartender how the bar is set up for performance, including surfaces and glassware.
- Timing: agree performance moments in advance so they fit your programme.

How to Choose the Best Bartender or Mobile Bar Service in Kerala
Searching for the best bartenders in Kerala brings up a long list of names, and it is not always clear how to compare them. Use this checklist to find a team you can trust with your event.
Look for proof of real events
Ask for photos and videos from past events, read client reviews, and, if you can, speak to a previous client. A good bartending team is happy to show its work.
Check exactly what is included
Find out whether the price covers the bartenders, bar counter, glassware, ice, mixers, syrups and garnishes, and what you need to arrange yourself. Be clear on whether the service is dry-hire, where the host buys the alcohol.
Make sure they follow Kerala's rules
A professional team understands the Kerala Abkari Act, checks the age of guests (the legal drinking age is 23) and is willing to refuse service to anyone who is visibly intoxicated.
Compare prices like for like
Compare quotes on the same guest count, service hours, drink menu and extras such as flair bartending or premium glassware. A lower price often leaves out something you will need.
Look at the menu
The best teams offer a good range of both cocktails and mocktails, and can create signature drinks for your event so every guest is looked after.
Check the staffing for your guest count
Ask how many bartenders will work your event. Larger guest lists need extra bartenders to avoid long queues at the bar.
Get a clear quote
Ask for a quote that spells out the package, guest count, hours and extras, and confirm how final pricing is decided.
How CASK & Co. approaches it
We publish our package rates, show a provisional estimate before you enquire, explain our dry-hire terms upfront and serve responsibly under the Kerala Abkari Act. Have a look at our packages or ask us anything on WhatsApp.
Hosting a Cocktail Party in Kerala: Abkari Rules Every Host Should Know
Planning a wedding reception, housewarming or corporate party with a bar? Alcohol in Kerala is regulated, so it helps to understand the basics before you book. This guide is general information and not legal advice. Rules and fees change, so always confirm current requirements with the Excise Department.
Who regulates alcohol at events?
Alcohol in Kerala is governed by the Kerala Abkari Act and enforced by the state Excise Department. Hosts, venues and service providers are all expected to follow these rules.
Do I need a licence or permit?
Depending on the type of event, the venue and where the alcohol is sourced, a host may need a licence or permit before alcohol is served. Because requirements differ, check with your local Excise office early, and ask your venue and caterer what they need from you.
What is the legal drinking age?
The legal drinking age in Kerala is 23. CASK & Co. does not serve alcohol to anyone under 23, and our bartenders may ask for valid photo ID.
Who arranges the alcohol?
With CASK & Co., the host does. We are a dry-hire service, so we provide bartenders, the mobile bar, glassware, mixers and tools, but we do not sell or supply alcohol. The host is responsible for procuring it and for securing any required licences or permissions.
Hosting responsibly
- Arrange designated drivers or transport for guests.
- Offer a good mocktail menu so non-drinkers and younger guests are looked after.
- Serve food alongside drinks.
- Let the bartenders use their right to refuse service to anyone who is visibly intoxicated.
