Piña Colada Recipe
White Rum • Pineapple Juice • Coconut Cream. Rich coconut cream, white rum, and pineapple. Serves 1, in a hurricane glass.
Ingredients
- 45 ml white rum
- 90 ml pineapple juice
- 30 ml coconut cream
- 1 cup ice
Method
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a chilled glass.
Serving tip
Garnish with a pineapple wedge. Blend just before serving for the best texture.
Prep ahead and variations
Measure the spirit with a jigger, chill the glasses and cut garnishes shortly before service. Juices, purees and syrups can be measured and chilled a few hours ahead, which keeps service quick. Fresh garnishes should look bright, and clean, plentiful ice is the quiet hero of every glass. Taste before serving and adjust sweetness or acidity to suit the day, because fruit varies by season. Variation: Freeze the pineapple juice into cubes for an extra creamy blend.
